"Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later." ~Og Mandino
It's Springtime - sorta! The weather in Chicago continues to be topsy turvy but I love Spring - it's all about new beginnings, fresh starts and not to mention my birthday and blogiversary are in there too.
I started a new job this week! I am Client Services Director (!!!) for Sprk'd, a digital marketing agency with a new mission of helping 1,000 women-owned businesses reach their first or next $1 million in revenue. I'm pumped for this role (and the title because Director baby! ππΎ) because I feel like it can take advantage of so many of the skills and strengths I mentioned like relationship + community building, organization and logistics, and facilitation and training. It is part-time for now with the capability of growing to a full-time role.
So this is new territory for me: I don't have a full time job. I don't have benefits. So I will have to figure that out - please let me know if you have any tips as health insurance is my main concern at the moment. BUT I feel soooo good about this opportunity, along with some other awesome part time projects in the queue. And I am really enjoying the flexibility that it's giving me. So I'm designing this new kind of life - more freelancer perhaps? More entrepreneurial? I'm not sure - but I'm planning to stay open to what the universe sends my way.
It's also been a big week where I was able to chat about side hustles tips and strategies at Flower Girls Meet and was featured on the From Her Seat Instagram chatting about what I would have told my younger self career-wise (hint: it has to do with passion).
I'm off to recharge my inner introvert. Hope you are having an amazing weekend.
