“Whatever it is you’re doing, always begin with what matters.” 💖 ~Kendra Adachi
A tiny business reset, a cozy new rhythm, and some shifts that feel just right.(#419)
Nothing like a month-long (and still going… sigh) bout with COVID to force a reset. 😷 Weirdly enough, getting sick sometimes gives me this accidental space to pause, to clear the mental clutter and zoom in on what really matters.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about alignment, especially after finishing this group experience on building a business based on your Human Design.
As a 6/2 Generator, a few truths have been rising to the top:
I’m a curator at heart. If we’ve ever talked, chances are I’ve recommended a tool, resource, or human to you. I love connecting people to helpful things.
I’m good at making things doable. If you have an idea, I’ll help you find a way to fit it into your life.
I can help you find the next right step. Because sometimes clarity doesn’t come from thinking. It comes from doing.
So I’ve been sitting with all of that… and slowly, things are starting to click into place.
Which brings me to this moment of digital spring cleaning.
(You know — the kind where you log in to fix one thing and end up rethinking a few things? Just me?)
It’s been pretty great.
Less “do everything.”
More “do the things that feel good, and make sense” and “how do we keep this simple and fun”.
Here’s what’s been shifting behind the scenes:
🧹 I moved to a 5-product lifetime plan on MemberVault.
No more monthly fees, and this constraint, once I got over the initial “what did I just do” energy (I’m human, you know lol) actually feels freeing. I get to focus on doing more with less, and it’s sparking some fun, creative ideas.
Even cooler? While I can only have 5 products at any one time, I can still create multiple offers, which gives me flexibility in how I show up and share new things. Feels just right.
📬 I broke up with Mailchimp and switched to MailerLite
They were charging more for the tools that I needed, and I just wanted something simpler. I’m loving the fresh start so far.
💬 Mini Pep Talks got a glow-up → meet Pocket Pep Talks.
Same async encouragement. Same wise big sister energy. But a more streamlined process, along with a couple of boundaries, and a name that feels more like me.
Full disclosure: I went back and forth on this one. I thought I should offer something more formal, like a Zoom call. But I adore this format, especially with my unpredictable schedule, and I love the idea of helping people while walking and talking sometimes. And it works. Re-reading my testimonials reminded me that people walk away with clarity, momentum, and next steps that fit their situation. So I’m doubling down. You can even grab a 3-pack now. 💁🏾♀️
🧠 And the big thing on deck? Take 15.
Starting in June, I’m writing a new guide - live - for side hustlers who want to stay consistent using tiny, doable steps.
Think: 15-minute progress, momentum that builds slowly, and routines that work with your life (not against it).

If you’re in a season of simplifying or starting again, this is your gentle nudge:
You don’t have to do it all.
You don’t have to do it perfectly.
You just have to keep going, your way.
We’ve got this. 💖
On to the picks!
P.S. Constraints don’t have to be limits. Sometimes they’re invitations — to focus, get creative, and make it yours.

📄. When’s the last time you updated your About page? 😅. If yours needs a refresh (same), join me for this free event. You’ll get helpful prompts, async support, and a chance to finish your About page by June 30. I’m doing it too, let’s write together!
📚. Need a new place to work? Try the library! The other day, my grandma needed to get out of the house, and a friend suggested the library. We ended up at Harold Washington Library downtown (9 floors!) and stayed for a few hours. She browsed and walked around. I brought my laptop and got some work done. We both left feeling like we got what we needed. 🙌🏾. Also, I forgot how many cool events they host, like story hour for adults! It’s now officially on our go-to list. And this love letter to libraries made my heart full.
📱 Bonus tip: If you like reading ebooks or listening to audiobooks, check out the Libby app. It lets you borrow books from your local library for free with your library card.
Make Peace with Your Incomplete Tasks: “At the end of each day, take 5 minutes to write down any unfinished tasks or nagging thoughts. Next to each item, note a specific next step you can take to move forward.”
