"Done is better than perfect." ~ Sheryl Sandberg
This week's timing has made me feel a bit off probably because of the July 4th holiday and then thinking Wednesday was Monday. I will tell you that I slept ALOT over that break - my body was screaming for it and it definitely helped me feel a little bit better and well-rested. 😁
Day-job wise we are gearing up for our next WiSTEM cohort (C5 baby!!) so definitely getting ready to welcome a new cohort of companies into the fold very soon.
On the biz front, I have been having such a hard time with my messaging. I realized that I kept procrastinating because I kept thinking the words would magically come to my brain (crazy right? 😜). Once I was aware, I had to give myself a little pep talk and tell myself that it doesn't have to be perfect right now. And that it can always change. I just need to get started. And knowing this has helped me finish my next set of tasks for my designer (yippee!). Even she agrees that the clarity will come with the doing.
Last week, I hired someone on Fiverr to create 20 social media posts for my Facebook page. She was super professional, put together great ideas in a quick timeframe. I plan to use some of them going forward on my page so pretty cool overall! #winning
I spent yesterday afternoon with my nephew and sister and then chatted with my uncle on the phone for a bit. It's amazing how full my heart felt afterward and everything that had been stressing me out for the past few weeks just melted away. This reminded me that it's important to make time for ourselves and our loved ones as we are building our dreams and legacies. Because ultimately we are doing all of this to have a better life so it's important that we make time to live too. 💕
Is there anything you haven't started or completed yet because you want it to be perfect? Anything that has been stressing you out that probably won't matter as much after some time with family? Hit reply and let me know.
On to the picks for the week!

I live most of these tips but the two that I especially adore that Erin included are around creating a workflow and system for your blog posts and then using tools and automation especially for promoting the posts after you hit publish.
Structuring A WORK WEEK — www.clever-kate.com
It's always interesting to see how other people structure their work days and work weeks. I love Meg's breakdown and how she integrates 3 different aspects of her work life with her home life and structures her days.
How to create offers people crave (and pay top dollar for)
"People don’t buy the thing. They buy what the thing will GET them. What will they accomplish? How will they change?" As I'm looking to create a valuable offer for side hustlers, this one really has me thinking.

Especially considering my week, this reminder comes right on time. It's OK not to be strong all the time.

My gurl Shenee is doing a webinar later this month on making your first $600. I love her "forget six figures and focus on doing something a little more realistic" approach! This is great for beginners and she will even cover strategies to grow your list and your schedule which as side hustlers is super duper important.
