I participated in the Avon Breast Cancer 60-mile walk in 2002. We walked 20 miles each day for three days. Despite training hard, my feet still gave me a lot of trouble. I need to write about that experience. It was pretty amazing. It's fun to challenge yourself, especially when it's for a good cause.

Congrats on the Shuffle! I used to run - lots of 5ks, 10-milers, a few half-marathons - then my body decided I shouldn’t do that. So now I walk a lot. One thing I miss from doing the races was the energy of the other participants. I didn’t know there was a designated walk option for the Shuffle - now I’m going to look for that in other events! I love your take on how personal success is, we need to own our wins - small ones as much as big ones!
