my side hustle training is live! 🎉 (#380)
Thanks to the Small but Mighty $9 Offers training (and a live Get it Done week), I have launched my first $9 offer. Drum roll, please…
My Side Hustle Idea Kickstart training is now live! 🎉 Get help finding and testing a side hustle idea with my personalized support.
Here’s a sneak peek behind the scenes:
I took a PTO day last week to record the videos. My goal? Record 4 videos, each about 5 minutes long. Short and sweet! Plus, it keeps me on the free Loom plan. (Hint, hint, wink, wink 😉)
Marketing Magic has been a game-changer. I uploaded the video transcripts and used the “Transcript Magic” tooling to create “tidied transcripts” for each video, removing timestamps and making the text flow smoothly. Then, I edited them, and they served as transcripts and notes under each video.
I also used their “Draft Training Materials” workflow to create bulleted-point recaps of the key items under each video. This helps folks see a list of next steps and prepares them for quiz questions.
I’m using Membervault’s Quiz Feature to provide 1:1 support during the training in an asynchronous way. You answer the questions, and I review and provide feedback. This makes it a “do it with you” training.
I also reviewed the lessons to find opportunities to link to helpful resources, including my blog posts and curated resources (even some affiliate links!)
Fun fact: I wanted to link to an investing course I love (investing is a popular side hustle). I couldn’t find an affiliate program on the site, so I emailed the creator. Guess what? She had a program and sent me the link to enroll! Now, I’m an affiliate for the Lazy Investors Course. My takeaway? It never hurts to ask. 😊
After just a few days, I’ve already made two sales! 🥳🥳🥳 This feels like the beginning of something amazing. I’m excited to continue building on this success and creating more valuable resources for you.
I hope my experience inspires you to take action on your side hustle dreams (maybe even creating your own $9 offer?). Every big success starts with a baby step. Let’s make it happen together! 🤝🏾
On to the picks!
P.S. I’m also excited to announce that I’ll be speaking at SponsorFest®️ from August 12th - 14th. I’ll share my experiences with newsletter sponsorships. Ready to learn more? Get your free ticket!
Note: This email may contain affiliate links. If you click through my link and make a purchase, I may receive “thank you money” at no additional cost. I only recommend products that I use and love.

📺. Watching: Umbrella Academy. ☂️ Since season 4 is coming out next week, I’ve started a re-watch from the beginning. It’s quite a wild ride with a fantastic soundtrack! (And each season has a cute dance scene) Who doesn't love a good time-traveling, dysfunctional family drama? Anyone else hooked?
💡. App: The Storyteller App. A daily dose of encouragement in my pocket. I love Morgan Harper Nichols’s art and words - and this app provides a beautiful and uplifting message in the middle of my day.

30 Short Morning Habits to Start Your Day on Purpose
“A good morning routine is the key to a productive day. It sets the tone for the day and can have a lasting effect on your mood and productivity. By starting your day on the right foot, you can set yourself up for success all day long.”
I like keeping my morning routines super simple, as with caregiving, sometimes they don’t go as planned. Here are my essentials, though:
Making my bed - it’s a small win that makes me feel accomplished right away.
Eating breakfast—I wasn’t always a breakfast person, but now, a bowl of cereal and Equilibria’s Daily Nutri-Greens are my go-to’s.
Having coffee or tea - I’m a coffee lover, and I couldn’t imagine my work days starting without It.
Do you have any must-have habits to kick off your day?

I'm catching up with my August Newsletter emails and I'm glad I read yours this morning. This section of your email made my day:
"After just a few days, I’ve already made two sales! 🥳🥳🥳 This feels like the beginning of something amazing. I’m excited to continue building on this success and creating more valuable resources for you."
Thank you for giving me the lesson to celebrate achievement no matter how big or small. This is a great reminder to: 1. Honor my achievements even if they could seme small to the people around me. 2. Celebrate, celebrate and celebrate, there's nothing better to know that I have the ability to own cheerleader.
Thank you Jess!
