"If you asked me for my New Year Resolution, it would be to find out who I am." ~Cyril Cusack
Happy 2018! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and an awesome New Year. For me, I took it easy over the past week. And really the past month. I watched some movies (loved, loved, loved the Greatest Showman) and spent time with my nephew.
I tried to do some planning for 2018 and my brain was honestly just not having it. Instead I listened to my body, got a much-needed massage and decided not to force it. A lot of people have reflected on 2017 and already shared their big goals for 2018. I haven't done it yet so part of me is like "OMG I'm so far behind" but another part of me is saying, "It's ok and you'll get to it when and if it makes sense". There are definitely some ideas swirling around my head but I'm just taking it in stride and trusting that the answers will come when they are ready.
This goes hand in hand with the concept of presence that has been popping up for me lately so I want to lean into that and make it my theme for the year. I think this means trusting and believing in myself. And not focusing so much on keeping up with everyone else. It also means being in the moment and not worrying so much about the future.
Over to you: What are you up to? Any New Years Resolutions or goals planned for 2018? Do you have a word or theme for the year? Hit reply and lemme know!
On to the picks for the week!
P.S. I'm obsessed with Demi Lovato's latest album. #sorrynotsorry 😉

I have a HUGE crush on this article. 😍 Especially this part: "I want to create more art, create more writing, create products that make a difference to real people’s real lives. I want to feel calm, and I want to feel…like the world isn’t caving in on me."
Wakeout - Work out in bed — itunes.apple.com
I am terrible at exercising mainly because I haven't found something I really like to do yet. But I do know that I need to add more movement to my day. This iPhone app helps me work out for less than 3 minutes before I get out of bed. Baby steps right? 💪🏾

Sometimes we think we have to spend a ton of money to accomplish goals - buying a book or course. I love Saya's piece of advice: "JUST DO THE THING and sprinkle as you go."
