“It’s only in the darkness that she can discover the power of her own light.” 🤔 ~Bryan Anthony
I struggled with the intro this week if I’m being completely transparent. Yesterday came, and I was hoping that the universe would send a spark of inspiration my way. But maybe she did, and I didn’t notice. 😫
I think I may be experiencing some version of growing pains. Like even my day job life is shifting a bit (it’s all good, I promise). And on the biz side, I now have an assistant, which makes me want to do even more stuff. And caregiving is...caregiving. Ultimately, I feel like I’m having a “what got me here, won’t get me to whatever’s next” feeling. Like something has gotta shift. And I’m not sure what.
It could be finding a new way to structure the newsletter or thinking about it differently. It could be implementing some systems or automation. It could be going from a weekly to a biweekly schedule. It could be that I simply need to make time to work on it earlier in the week so that the bulk of the culmination doesn’t happen on Friday like it has for the past year or two.
I think what I’m seeing is that it might be time to find a new rhythm. I’m not sure what the answer is, but I realize that I’m feeling called to change. Leaning into my Generator type (anyone else into human design?), I know I need to wait and see what answer comes.
Sometimes I think we feel called to pause and make space for a shift but may not feel comfortable taking the time. If you’ve felt that, too, give yourself permission to take a breath and hold space for what’s next.

🎧. Listening: Cleaning Kit. I took advantage of an empty house yesterday to do some cleaning. This playlist kept me company. I’m not going to lie - there may have been some mop-dancing. 💃🏽
📺. Watching: The Girl from Plainville. This Hulu series is based on a real-life story of a guy who committed suicide and a girl who urged him on via text message. It’s dark but interesting to see the backstory of how it all came to be.
⏸. Wearing: Bryan Anthony’s Pause Necklace. “Taking a moment to pause, she allows herself to rest — regaining her peace and strength with each and every breath. Letting her chest rise and fall, she takes each thought in and slowly lets them go — realizing that grace can still find her, even if steady breathing is all that she can do.”

I Borrowed James Clear’s Instagram Strategy to Grow My Email Newsletter — medium.com
“Building a system and following a clear strategy will make us overcome our biggest obstacles in the Instagram game: being consistent and knowing what to post.”
As my virtual assistant and I are thinking through the next few months of Instagram content, I remembered reading this article a while back. Such a good strategy. I have already made a few edits to my Instagram bio and will see what else we can apply going forward.
71 Passive Income Ideas To Stop Trading Time for Money — www.sidehustlenation.com
I want to get to a point someday where I can make some more passive income. Nick, the side hustle king, shares his experiences and four different types of passive income:
Buy cash-flowing assets (investing, real estate)
Build assets (digital products or #jesspicks, for example)
Share or sell assets (think space around your house, things you don’t use anymore)
“Reverse” passive income (cutting some monthly expenses)
Definitely keeping this on my reading list over the coming year.
