42 years young... (#323)
When you are caring for other people, sometimes your weeks can be extremely unpredictable. My grandma had a fall and a hospital stay this week.
(She’s doing much better and is back home now.)
Lemme tell you, your girl is exhausted.
But also, I’m writing this email on my 42nd birthday 🥳🥳, and while this week hasn’t been the best, it’s a wonderful time to reflect on the good things in my life:
I have a wonderful support system of friends, family, and coworkers who have my back always.
I have a great job with a lot of freedom and flexibility and a business that lets me do something I’m super passionate about.
As much as I can, I make time for the things that bring me joy. I’m so looking forward to seeing the Jagged Little Pill musical tonight and celebrating my birthday with family and friends.
I once heard a quote that says:
“When you focus on the good, the good gets better.”
And if nothing else, it gives you a reason to smile. 😊
Now I’d love to hear from you.
Reply and let me know 1 thing in life that is good and makes you smile.
On to the picks!

A Letter from Your Calling — tinybuddha.com
I love this letter written by Tara Sophia Mohr as if she was your calling. What a wonderful reminder for the work we are meant to do.
“It’s me. The one who keeps talking to you about that thing. That project. That possibility.
I know you think you couldn’t be the one for the job, but honestly, if you weren’t the one for the job, I wouldn’t have come to you with it.”
Listen to that voice. The world needs you.

It's difficult to name one thing that makes me happy because I am fortunate enough to have very much happiness in my life. I guess my happiness stems from my family: my 4 kids and my adorable grandson. My life is better because of each one of them. I'm thankful. Great job Jess! <3
Happy belated birthday Jess. Praying for your best girl. I know how important your grandma is to you. Loving life and helping others brings me joy. It’s like watching a blank canvas transform into some simple but beautiful!
