#jesspicks - Issue #19 - Showing Up, Celebrating Milestones, & Classes You Can Take on Your Lunch Break
This week I felt super productive. I made a dent in my inbox finally so I don't feel as behind on emails. I've figured out that Inbox Zero is probably not realistic for me, and that's ok. :) And I've started writing copy for a free 15-minute call for side hustlers - more on that soon!
Me and grandma celebrated Thanksgiving! For dinner we had: cornish hens, greens and dressing. And pie! Deliciousness. Also got a chance to reconnect with a good friend who I hadn't seen in awhile and we had a blast catching up at Christkindlmarket eating German sandwiches and drinking glühwein.
I started watching Insecure (OMG hilarious show!) and plan to spend the rest of the weekend reading, watching shows and taking it easy.
Hope you had a wonderful week full of family, friends, good food and good times. xoxo
On to the picks for the week!

As we continue to unpack our feelings about this election and try to move forward, this post really reminded that it's about showing up for the larger community but we can't forget our personal work either. We all have some body of work or legacy that we are building and we need to remember that we are both. We are individuals and a part of a community.
14 Awesome Life Milestones People Don't Celebrate, but Should — greatist.com
I love this post and it really helps us remember that doing scary things (#4) or saying goodbye to draining relationships (#12) should be celebrated. But it's really important to recognize the awesomeness that you are doing each time you challenge yourself a little bit to grow and get out of your comfort zone.

As we try to think about achieving goals in the next year, these might be some great classes to jumpstart 2017. I'm looking at #1, #2 and #7.
