#jesspicks - Issue #3
This week has been tough. The tail end of last week started with an awful sore throat and it only got worse. I started a course of antibiotics on Monday but I'm still pretty hoarse and I have a terrible cough (in other words, I sound super sexy!) . It's amazing how being sick really forces you to take care of yourself and focus on what matters. It's been easy for me to set the priorities for the day, do the best I possibly can, and then head home to sleep for about 10 hours (trust me, this body needed it). I'm starting to feel a little bit better, which is good, so my priority going into the weekend is self-care, lots of tea with honey, and Harry Potter.
Running a business or blog, while working a day job or being a mom or a dozen other commitments, is hard. It's important to remember to make time to eat properly, move your body, and sleep. Taking care of yourself is even more important as a side hustler, because you are giving up a lot of your free time to build something great. Just don't forget to carve out some time for yourself in there.
How was your week? I'd love to know. Hit "reply" and let me know.
On to the picks for the week!
xoxo,
Jessica

Spotify tries to make it easier to discover new music with Release Radar — mashable.com
You know I love me some music and I'm a big fan of Spotify playlists. They've come up with a new one called "Release Radar" which is updated every Friday with new music from artists you listen to or follow on the service. This amazing mashup of 90s and 00s songs was my favorite gem on this week's list.
