This week, we celebrated International Women's Day and we had some amazing events at 1871. My favorite: the Resting Bold Face morning panel featuring phenomenal women. If you get the chance, please check out the video recap. They talked about what it means to be leaders, advice to their 20-year-old self, and being visible. So many great gems. And the day was packed full of discussions around being bold. I ALSO MET KIMBERLY BRYANT IN REAL LIFE. She is the founder of Black Girls Code and such a role model for me as a black woman in tech. In other news, I'm continuing to be in love with my little munchkin of a nephew. Isn't he adorbs? We had our Woo Boss Retreat earlier this week with a focus on coming up with video strategies for our blogs/businesses. So I made a couple of practice videos and since I'm still riding the "be bold" high from International Women's Day, I posted one on Facebook. I figured out that I blink ALOT in my videos so it's a bit like flirting with the camera. :) Since I posted it Thursday night, I've had 32 views which I consider pretty great engagement for a practice video. Planning to start doing more of those so stay tuned. Daylight Savings Time is tomorrow so don't forget to set your clocks back. This means that the weekend is a little bit shorter BUT excited that the days will be a little longer and that spring is coming. I read once that this also means that your body will be a little out of sorts for about 2 weeks in order to get used to the new schedule. Yay? Over to you: Did you do anything bold this week? Are you doing video on your blog or in your biz now - any tips for a newbie? Hit reply and let me know.On to the picks for the week!P.S. I had my second ever acupuncture appointment yesterday and I think this will be a regular occurrence going forward. The relaxation I feel after an appointment is incomparable.
