"We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day." ~Henri J.M. Nouwen
Happy April! I love this time of year especially because my birthday is coming up (in a couple weeks!) along with my blogiversary. So since I'm feeling extra celebratory, I may have champagne as often as I can this month. Cheers! 🥂
Speaking of awesome things happening, I was featured in MADE Magazine!! It's a video clip of me chatting about why it's important for women to collaborate along with some practical tips for women in business.
Also, one of the women in our WISTEM cohort had this super fun, super cute owl keyboard cover, so I had to get it. I've only had it a couple of days but it makes typing so much more fun. Lots of people have asked me where I got it from, so if you want to get it, click here. 👩🏾💻
In other not so awesome news, I realize I didn't meet my first quarter goals for the biz, so I'm starting to think through Q2 and how I can get some things done, like catching up on my blogging. How was your first quarter? What sorts of things can I help you with in Q2? Hit reply and let me know.
On to the picks for the week!
P.S. I finally saw Get Out. If you've seen it, three things: 1) I ❤️ Rod Williams, 2) ZOMG "sunken place" 😱 and 3) this article (thx Patricia). If you haven't seen it, don't read that article (because there are spoilers!) and go see the movie. It's so good. #jessapproved

The Knowtbook — amylynnandrews.com
Amy Lynn Andrews is someone I started following in the past 6 months or so and I look to her as a role model/mentor for blogging and affiliate marketing. Her Knowtbook is all of her notes on running an online business and blogging - a digital version of "picking her brain" that is constantly updated. I refer to it all the time.
