10 quick productivity tips (#344)
I was looking back through some of the Instagram posts Alice and I posted last quarter and had two thoughts:
“Wow this content is actually pretty good!” (if I say so myself! ☺️ )
“I should find a way to resurface these ideas somehow.” (this repurposing course is on my to-watch list)
Several of the ideas I’d categorize under the productivity/time management/how to juggle #allthethings umbrella, so I thought it’d be fun to reimagine them as one-sentence tips (a nod to this post):
If a task can be done in two minutes or less, do it immediately.
Batching tasks is a game changer and can save you time in the long run.
Use some of your most productive time to work on your side hustle or passion project.
Take baby steps consistently, and you’ll be surprised how far you can go.
Timers are an underrated productivity tool.
80% Done > 100% Perfect
The best time to take a break is when you feel like you can’t.
What you say no to is just as important as what you say yes to.
Don’t underestimate the power of 15 minutes.
If it’s not your thing, just say no to “hustle culture.”
We are in the final months of 2023, and I know there is a big push to “finish the year strong.” For me, I’m leaning more towards “finishing the year well”:
You get to choose how the rest of the year goes. And what productivity can look like.
I hope one of these tips can help you plan the next week(s) in the way that works best for you.
On to the picks!
P.S. Reply and tell me what you are working on the rest of the year (even if it’s chillaxing!) - would love to feature tips and resources to help you move forward.

📖. Tool: Readwise Reader. I like to think of this tool as a combination of Pocket (the Read It Later app) and Feedly (an app to read all your blogs in one place). This free (for now) tool is my perfect one-two punch for curating content. This post sold me on it.
🍎🥦. Purchase: Equilibria Daily Nutri-Greens: I am terrible about eating a proper amount of fruits and veggies, so when I saw a way to get them through a nutrient powder from a fave woman-owned brand, I thought I’d try it. Convenience, amirite? 😉 I’ve only been using it for a couple of days, but the taste isn’t bad (apple banana), and it’s already helped me feel a constant flow of energy throughout the day, without the typical afternoon slump, which is a nice change. Use code REFJESSICA.LA.WILLIAMS@GMAIL.COM to get $20 off your first order. (I also love their CBD relief balm for sore/achy muscles.)

I love this visual way of figuring out how much time you have each day and how you want to spend it. If you only have 100 ten-minute blocks each day, you start questioning whether something is worth three blocks.
“How many of them are put towards making your future better, and how many of them are just there to be enjoyed? How many of them are spent with other people, and how many are for time by yourself? How many are used to create something, and how many are used to consume something?”
What are ways I can “rest” that are not just sleeping?
Related to those 10-minute blocks above, can we use a couple of those for different types of rest? Here are some ideas:
Microbreaks (every little bit helps)
Deep breathing / Meditation
Desk yoga
Spending time outside in nature / going for a walk (sunlight can be very recharging!)
Setting boundaries (I’m learning how important this is)
Reading (I do find this very restful, actually!)
Taking a nap
