"Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Happy 2019 my dear! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and are excited about the wonderful things this new year will bring.
Over the holiday break, I saw some movies (highly recommend Spiderman: into the Spiderverse), hung out with my nephew and experienced Jeni's ice cream in person for the first time. I had major plans to get a ton of stuff done with my blog so I could end the year productive but my body and mind were not feeling it. 🙅🏽♀️ So I listened and just took it easy.
I keep seeing these Year in Review posts and words of the year but I haven't done those or figured them out yet. I do know that I want to make the following things more of a priority this year:
Self-care (which I've realized that reading is a big part of)
Writing
Coaching / Mentoring
Side Hustling
So I'm sitting with that and maybe I'll make harder goals around it but maybe I won't. I like the idea of just showing up for those areas of my life and seeing how that goes.
If you are struggling to do the Year in Review, or finding a word or theme for the year or setting resolutions, give yourself a break and instead think of the areas in your life where you want to show up in 2019.
On to the picks!

I’m Not Setting Goals in 2019. — medium.com

Apply for Fear Experiment!
Check out Mac & Cheese Productions’ Fear Experiment℠ (FE), a unique, fun way to create community, push oneself, learn something new, and laugh. A lot. Learn an art-form over two months — this edition is improv, Broadway, or storytelling — and then perform in front of 700.
The criteria to participate? You sign up solo and your inner-you should be saying “You want me to do what?!” Because when you challenge yourself to do something scary, the bonds with others are fast and genuine, and the magic that results is infectious and life-changing.
The next FE starts in March and the application period is now. (I APPLIED TOO!! 😱)
