“here in July, you are free to be mid-metamorphosis…” 🦋 ~Morgan Harper Nichols
it all counts...(#455)
July has a funny way of making us take stock of things. What we did. What we didn’t do. What’s going well. What’s still a work in progress.
Or, if you’re anything like me, maybe your reaction is…
Either way, if you’re feeling a little behind, I just want to remind you of something:
You’re doing great.
Because doing great can look like:
Choosing to rest.
Working on your business in 15-minute pockets because that’s what your life allows right now.
Doing a 5-minute workout.
Ordering food instead of cooking. (Or cooking instead of ordering food.)
Saving $10 because that’s what your budget allows right now.
Crossing one thing off your to-do list.
Trying something new.
Taking care of someone you love.
Taking care of yourself.
Getting through the day.
Starting over.
Continuing to show up.
Success can look different for each of us. And it can change from moment to moment.
Sometimes it looks like making progress. Sometimes it looks like resting.
Whatever you’ve been able to do this week, this month, or this year, no matter how big or small, it all counts.
You’re doing great.
Keep going. 💖

💬 Over to you: What’s one thing you’re proud of from the first half of 2026? Big, tiny, visible, invisible. I’d love to celebrate it with you. (And yes, “I kept going” absolutely counts as an answer.)
On to the picks! ✨
P.S. If you’re up for it, I’d also love to know…what’s feeling hard right now when it comes to your side hustle? Or what do you wish you had a little more help with? I’m doing a little dreaming over here and would love your input.

🍽️. There are two kinds of people after dinner: the ones who ask, “Can I help?” and the ones who are already doing the dishes. This explanation of the different levels of agency really got me thinking about how I show up at work, at home, and in my side hustle. I’m probably somewhere in the 3-5 range, depending on the situation. How about you?
💃🏾. “Hey, I don’t feel good, but I still got up and moved my body today.” Loved this 23-minute low-impact dance workout because it feels like permission to move in a way that meets you where you are. Bonus: I also enjoyed seeing the instructor’s behind-the-scenes on Insta.
⭐️. Use stars as your to-do list. If you’re a Gmail or Google Workspace user, I loved this tip from Adrienne Farrow.
Most people use their inbox as a to-do list, which means nothing ever really gets done. Instead, try using stars. When an email needs a response or action, star it. That’s your list. When you’ve handled it, remove the star. You can even filter your inbox to show only starred emails so you’re looking at exactly what needs your attention and nothing else. And you can even add up to 12 different star options! Simple, already built into Gmail, and it takes about thirty seconds to set up.
