I've just said 'no' to sharing the transport for son's DnD meet-up today. It would've cost me at least 90 minutes and some spoons I don't have spare - and I wanted to use that time to work instead. Husband has taken him and has to hang out in the city to also do pick up, which has basically cost him most of his Sunday and I'm trying not to feel too guilty about that.

Good for you, especially for being honest about what you needed in that moment. I'm glad your husband was able to take it on for you. Because I think there will be some days the roles will be reversed, and you may be the help when he needs to say no. :)

Saying no to a few check in calls. With holidays and Inara bday need to pace myself and check in over next weeks

My therapist once said, "no" is a full sentence, but we often feel the need to say why we're saying no, so I love how you presented different ways to say no here that feel good. Boundary setting is so important for us side hustlers!

Oh good - I'm so glad those examples were helpful. I definitely struggle with just saying no without some extra explanation :)
