If this week had a movie title, it would be “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Actually, I believe that is a book/movie title I have seen. 🤔It was a perfect storm of stuff happening in all areas of my life: caregiving, work, business, and health. I realized I was at a breaking point by Wednesday. My assistant was looking for direction on social media content, and I felt like it was one more thing to do on top of everything else. 🤯After taking multiple deep breaths, I realized I was feeling super anxious and stressed, and I had to take a step back. I started brain-dumping all the thoughts and tasks I was worried about, and then I started asking myself, ok, what can I realistically do today? Tomorrow? What can wait until next week? Next year?So I said to my assistant:“Ok, let’s baby step this business.”I gave her direction for our next two days of social media. And then I said to her (and myself) that we could figure out next week’s content next week. Sometimes writing down all the thoughts in your head and seeing them on paper makes you see things much clearer. And makes it a lot easier to create a plan for moving forward. This time of year can often feel overwhelming as there can be a lot of outside pressure to finish the year strong. And we are already juggling so many things. So let’s, instead, try to finish the year well.Identify what you can realistically get done over these next few weeks, and give yourself grace in those tougher moments. 💖On to the picks!P.S.
