Shout out to Liz McCarthy and Kristen Levine for buying me coffees this past week! ☕️Liz is a military spouse and mama trying to pivot her career into marketing and start a side hustle as a graphic designer / hand-letterer.Kristen, who has had over 30 pets in her lifetime, is a pet advocate that helps pet parents by providing information and product recommendations.--This week has been a doozy. This election in particular is about a whole lot more than the man chosen to sit in the oval office. And that is why it is so important. And so anxiety-inducing. 😖I've gone between moments of "Everything will be OK" to "OMG this election is the worst" to eating lots of Crunch Berries, fried chicken, and grapefruit gummies (thanks Sarah!). You can probably relate? As I write this issue, we still don't have a President-elect, although I'm hoping that by the time you read it, we will. 🤞🏾Whatever this weekend brings, I am continuing to send you hugs, love, and self-care as we move on from this limbo. I encourage you to check in with yourself as often as you need to, and honor what your body, mind and soul needs. If that's taking more breaks or taking days off, do that. If it's comfort food, do that. If it's work, do that. If it's watching a lot of Schitt's Creek, do that (you'll get lots of laughs and style ideas for sure).Whatever happens, this is not an ending, it's possibly a beginning, but more than that it's an opportunity to embrace joy and rest. Because that is how we resist. That is how we persist. We are soldiers. That is our way. On to the picks!
