That meme seems like a dark joke to me, it’s way too relatable in the worst way lol. But it’s important to be aware of it, it’s important to know. So thanks for the reminder.

Also, really excited for you that you’re working on getting those speaking gigs! All the best! ❤️ This line is gonna stick with me: “You are a speaker when you call yourself a speaker. No other criteria need to apply.”

I know right? Isn't that meme sooo relatable? I definitely had a lolsob moment when I first saw it.

Awww and thank you for the speaking best wishes. I feel really good about this direction. And so glad that resonated with you. 💖

This was a resonating post in many way - the overwhelm and the imposter syndrome bit particularly.

I’m trying to push myself to start cooking classes - both online and in person. I know people want them, I know I can do them, I know how to set them up. All I haven’t done is taken that last step because ... I dunno. What if people don’t book and I’m hustling for no response?

Worse, what if people DO book and I’m committed to doing this thing??!!

Fiona, I'm so glad the post resonated with you. The impostor syndrome struggle is so real. I often tell people I haven't overcome it but that I try to move forward despite it.

And omg yess to cooking classes. What do you think would help you take that step? Is there a particular cooking class that you'd like to offer first? Is there a way to do it for a small group of people? I'm wondering if you could say to your peeps, something like "hey I keep hearing that you want cooking classes, so I'm gonna try an experiment. I will do a cooking class on X on this date if I can get 5 people to sign up" And then see what happens? Does that help?

Hah Sarah and I started Succession recently too. We’re midway through season 3.

Many years ago I worked in an environment and stage of org that had a very Logan Roy style/personality leader who had been in that position 50 years and there were some of the succession style dynamics going on. So there is a lot that is stunningly familiar--aside from the insane wealth and power. Sometimes it’s a little too real psychologically.

OMG you guys too? I think I'll start season 3 this weekend. I can't believe you actually worked with a Logan Roy type leader. And saw some of that in real life. That is so wild.
