"You'll silently bloom, beautifully in your own way." ๐ธ ~Dhiman
This week has been a bit of an emotional up and down. Some days I can get into a great groove with work and other days, my brain feels like it's just cotton balls. I'm glad I have friends to remind me that hey, we are going through a pandemic. And then I realize that I'm putting all kinds of stress on myself. Grace. It is so important to have grace with ourselves and each other right now. And if you are feeling undue pressure for whatever reason, it might be time for a grace break. ๐
A few good things that happened this week:
I wrapped up my #30DaysofSideHustle tips on Instagram! I am proud of myself for doing it and sticking with it. Now I'm thinking of my next project! I want to see how I can repurpose some of that content for other things.๐ค
Had my first side hustle office hours session! I worked with this amazing woman who is building an event planning business as a side hustle. She walked away with her next steps and feeling less overwhelmed. I call that a win! And I really am liking this style of working too so that is awesome. I still have 2 spots left before Friday so if you want to pick my brain, definitely sign up!
I am testing out one of my gurl Mel's Business Builder Bundles on Speaking. It helps you create a 5-10 minute signature talk and gives tips and resources on how to find speaking gigs. The first exercise is focused on working on your message so that's been fun to start to put together. More on that soon!
In other not as good news, I have been having some finger and hand pain which is probably my body's way of saying, "Stop working from your bed", ๐ so I ordered a desk which should arrive in a couple weeks. Especially since we'll be continuing to shelter in place for at least the next month, I may as well try to adult a little and make myself some sort of workspace.
I'm excited that it's a new month and there are some good things coming. Looking forward to this workshop and this one that I'm teaching. ๐๐พ
What's a good thing that happened to you this week? Or what is something you are looking forward to doing this month?

๐บ Watching: Why Women Kill. Such a fun dark comedy following three women over three different decades dealing with betrayal. I binged this in 2 days. It was that good. And looks like there will be a Season 2. ๐๐พ
๐ง Listening: Spotify's Daily Wellness - A new daily curated playlist in the "Made for You" section that's a mix of music, podcasts and meditations. Not sure how I feel about podcasts mixed with music but giving it a try.
๐ Reading: The Dip. This is one of those books that I have seen popping up in my universe a few times over the past couple of weeks. So I took it as a sign to start reading it. It's a book about making it through the challenging times (the dip) of any journey and how sometimes the best strategy is quitting.
๐ธ Tool: Make Me a Cocktail: One of my mastermind squadmates (yay LHS!) told me about this site. You basically put in a list of the ingredients you have at home and it'll give you cocktail recipes. I was able to experience a Barbed Wire which is whiskey + apple juice. And I added a bit of lime juice. Delish. ๐
#sponsor: Sara Dann Mini Courses
Sara Dann is a great coach that I've been following since last year and her approach to doing business is quite amazing. She's already made $300K this year! I love her "Crickets to Conversation" product which gives you ideas for engaging posts for your Facebook groups. I use those for the Girlboss Community I manage and even used one for Insta stories.
She also has a bunch of other mini courses including a new one on boundaries. Check her out!

A Five-Day Plan To Grow Your Newsletter โ fortheinterested.com
Josh did a five day tune up your newsletter course and shared some of his best tips in this post.
Fave tip: His tune up your social media post advice (day 2) which includes adding a blurb about how you add value in your newsletter and then adding a link to either your newsletter sign up page or your most recent issue. I've already made that change in my Twitter bio!
If You Find Yourself Dreading Appointments You Made Long Ago, Start Asking โWould I Do This Tomorrow?โ โ chrisguillebeau.com
I am always looking for frameworks for what I say yes and no to. Chris mentions another great method for figuring this out!
๐๐พ"When someone asks you for a meeting, a call, or any other commitment that requires your time โฆ evaluate the request as if they were asking you to do it tomorrow. If youโd happily do it then, great! Accept the request without hesitation. But if youโre not into it, say no."

๐ Last issueโs most clicked pick was: Dot Journaling: A Practical Guide
Had a great podcast discussion with Martin McGovern a few weeks ago. We talked about side hustles, how to get started, and how to find time. We also talked about how side hustles can be used as a job search advantage. ๐๐พ
