The 3-day weekend was a great time for me to take it easy and recharge a bit. I've been feeling really wiped out. And I'm thinking it could be because I'm trying to write more and post on my blog more (!!) which makes me feel really awesome. But I think it also takes a lot of energy so I'm thinking through that and how I can build in ways to recharge during the week.I've found that when I make time to read (especially fiction books), it helps me fill up my cup a little bit. So I'm definitely planning on doing more of that. The highlight of my week was attending this class about being a more confident public speaker. It was led by Adam Smit and hosted by Saya Hillman. At one point, Adam had each of us sit in the front of the room and do nothing for 30 seconds while everyone watched us. It was TOUGH. He says that it's more about feeling comfortable with people looking at you - that's where a lot of the fear comes from. Not necessarily the speaking itself. I'm still processing but what's important for me is to work on my breathing and some of the physical tension I have when I'm in front of people. Always learning. On to the picks for the week!P.S. You are brilliant. xo
