At the start of the week, I had some well-laid plans. I even did my Made by Monday routine and duplicated my previous newsletter, but I had no thoughts yet about the content.
“No worries,” I said to myself. “I’ll have time for it later in the week.”
Narrator: she did not, in fact, have time for it later in the week.
Here we are late on Friday evening, and I didn’t get to give as much mental space to my newsletter this week as I had hoped.
As I sit here trying to type it up, this conversation is happening in my head:
Inner me: Wow Jess, we really failed to prioritize this week.
Me: I’m also dealing with a lot.
Inner me: But we have made time for it in the past.
Me: Ummm, c-c-changes?
Inner me: We must plan better next week.
Me: Take a chill pill, inner voice, I’m doing the best I can.
Our inner voices can really be a trip sometimes, amirite?
All in all, some weeks go great.
And some weeks, the plans you had don’t, well, go to plan. Stuff happens.
At the end of the day, we are human.
And we are doing the best we can. 💖
