Shout out to Vin Agrawal and Kirsten Goede for buying me coffees this past week! ☕️ Thank you!Vin is a Brand Storyteller & Product Designer at Brandhero. He helps people find & showcase their brand story.Kirsten is a Graphic Designer as well as the Co-Founder of Big League Pins. They have a range of pins that capture the spirit of sport and the joy of life.--I am EXHAUSTED. But it’s that “good exhausted” where you smile at the reasons. The main reason? Fear Experiment. Over 20 adults got together and then did scary-exciting things with each other. Improv. Broadway. Storytelling. And we inspired ourselves, each other, and our socially distanced crowd. It was amazing and incredible and all the positive adjectives you can name, even more so because of the rollercoaster ride we took to get here. First, we were supposed to do this show in March 2020 and went on lockdown a week prior. Then, after being rescheduled a few times, we persisted. Our fantastic leader Saya persisted. And we pulled it off. Taking our final bows with standing ovations and hugs while singing Seasons of Love was a perfect end to this 20ish month journey.Getting out of your comfort zone is, ahem, uncomfortable. And scary. And wobbly. But I have to say every time I have done it, I have grown. It has made me learn. It has made me better. It has made me a little more agile. Granted, you don’t have to learn Broadway songs, or do improv, or tell stories as we did, but there could be something you can do to take a tiny baby step towards growth. You could:📚Read a book in a genre you’ve never read before🛒Change your route to the grocery store🍱Try a new food cuisine (I may be trying Korean soon! 😲)✅Cross something off your bucket list📝Take a workshop in something you've always wanted to learn. If you pick anything here, trust me you will grow and meet some awesome humans.🚶🏾♀️Explore a new area of your city.🧩Create a new offering for your business. Trial it for a month.Baby steps matter. Pick something small you can do in the next week to shake things up. And I’d love it if you would reply to me and let me know what it is. I will happily cheer you on! 🥳For me, after trialing a couple of Voxer-related things, I’m working on creating a session where folks can pick my brain about side hustle and newsletter stuff. Wish me luck!Growth is scary for sure. But try not to let that fear stop you from becoming the person you are meant to be.On to the picks!P.S. I believe in you. 💖
