I had a great birthday weekend! I got to experience Chuck E. Cheese for the first time ever. Verdict? I probably would have liked it as a kid. As an adult, not so much. Not a #jesspicks at all. But my 7-year old cousin enjoyed it and that was the goal. And I did get to spin the wheel and throw some footballs so there's that. 😆Birthday brunch with my girls was everything I expected and more. 🥂 My sister even got me the cutest tiara to wear. We went to Beatrix (also a first time) and I enjoyed waffles, turkey bacon, and a mimosa. Also, caramel pie which was a truly delightful experience. The theme of my gifts? Self-care. Pajamas, coloring books, bath and body awesomeness and a bracelet for healing. My peeps know me well. 💆🏽♀️This marks the end of my third week at the new job. Some things are starting to click! It's such a great feeling when that happens. I was able to moderate a hiring panel, do some one-on-ones and I taught my first workshop. All good things. I'm constantly reminding myself that the overwhelm is normal, not everything I do will be perfect the first time (because it's all new) and I'll find my rhythm eventually. On to the picks for the week!P.S. I'm doing a networking event on Monday with some other cool entrepreneurs in the Chicago area. If you are free, come on out. I'd love to see you!
