I am slowly getting into the habit of posting a blog post or updating an older post every (other) week for the past couple of months. Some weeks are better than others, but I am already feeling good about my progress. 🥳 #babystepsThis week, I updated a blog post where I wrote about time management mantras that help while I do all the juggling (copying the key points here, so you don’t have to click away if you don’t want to, but the full blog post is here):“If it’s not in my calendar, it’s not real.”To-do lists are great but pair them with your calendar. Because when it’s on your calendar, you’ve already blocked off time to get it done, and you’ll get reminded about it, so it’s an excellent way to know what you need to be working on and when. “Multitasking is evil.”I used to think I was THE QUEEN of multitasking, and sometimes I still do. But I have to say when I work on one thing and only one thing, I can focus so much better, and it helps me knock it out.“The power of three will set you free.”(Yes, that is a Charmed reference 🧙🏾♀️ - iykyk). I have found that this is a great way to think about big projects or tasks. See if there is a way to break it down into three smaller tasks, and maybe each of those can become even tinier tasks. For example, perhaps one of your week’s tasks is writing a blog post. We can break this down even more:Figure out a topicWrite the first draftFind an imageAs side hustlers, finding the time and energy to work on #allthethings can feel almost impossible sometimes. So keep one of these mantras in mind when scheduling your days. On to the picks!
