Shout out to Brandy Morris for buying me a coffee. She's awesome and is currently offering her famous Brilliance Briefings for free. She really helped me nail down mine in helping side hustlers with their first steps. ππΎ----Shortly after sending the last issue, I fell and managed to fracture my ankle in two places! π€¦πΎββοΈ It's about as painful as you can probably imagine. So this week has been a mix of elevating my ankle, getting used to walking with crutches (it's harder than I thought) and going to a bunch of follow-up appointments. Surgery is my only option to fix it so that is tentatively scheduled for next Friday assuming all my pre-op tests come back clear. π€πΎSo I guess the universe is forcing me to slow down, take a break and let myself be supported. I tried to do a little bit of work this week but honestly even hobbling to the kitchen takes sooo much of my energy that I've been prioritizing rest as much as I can. And as much as. I want to do them, some things just have to wait. And I'm learning that that's OK.I did manage to do the I Can't: Side Hustle workshop with Saya Hillman from my couch. And that was essentially a side hustle party! I was able to share my journey, tips and tricks for getting started. And me and Saya tag-teamed all the questions and it was such a great time. Saya summed up the night so much better than I could and it includes her fabulous visual note-taking skills. So even if you missed the workshop, you can get some great tidbits out of it. That + an amazing card from my awesome &yet coworkers + all the reach outs from people asking how they can support me right now has been so incredible. πAll in all, I am trying to stay positive. I'm glad this is happening now while I am working from home and can recover without too much of a disruption from the routine I'm used to. Sure, it's another new adventure, but if my track record tells me anything, it's that I can get through this too. On to the picks!
