“Do all you can with all you have … 🍂❄️
…in the time you have in the place you are.” ~Nkosi Johnson (#440)
As we come to the end of the year, I wanted to pause for a moment.
Not to add anything new. Not to push us forward.
Just to look back and notice what we’ve been exploring together in this Side Hustle A-Z series.
Back in August, I shared a recap of letters A-H.
At the time, I was adjusting to a new rhythm, feeling pretty tired, and actively practicing what I was preaching about capacity and grace.
And now it’s December.
Still juggling.
Still learning.
Still building in the life that I have. Not perfect by any means, but mine.
Since then, we’ve covered 8 more letters. So before the year wraps up, I wanted to take some time to name them.
Side Hustle A-Z: Letters I-P
I is for Intentionality: Doing things on purpose. Not because you “should”, but because it fits the season you are in.
J is for Joy: Joy doesn’t need to be a reward for getting things done. It’s part of what keeps us human while we build.
K is for Keyless: Making things easier. Removing friction. Choosing simplicity where you can.
L is for Life Jackets: The things that keep you afloat when you’re in the water. Especially when you didn’t plan to be there.
M is for Margins: You don’t need endless time to build something meaningful. Margins count.
N is for No: Saying no to protect what matters and make space for what’s next.
O is for Onward: Not perfect. Not fast. Just…continuing. Returning when you can.
P is for Permission Slips: The reminders we need when pressure creeps in.
Looking back at all sixteen letters so far (A-P), here’s what I notice:
We’ve been learning to build differently.
To work in the time we actually have. To rest without guilt. To say no. To keep going even when it’s messy.
To do this our way, in a way that fits the life we’re actually living.
And to trust that this counts, even when social media is screaming otherwise.

As we head into the holidays and new year, I’m holding onto that. And I’m letting it guide what comes next: simpler, steadier, more supportive.
We’ll pick back up with Q in the new year.
For now, thank you so much for being here, for reading, and for building in the margins with me. 💖
